The official holiday calendar, published each academic year — covering national, state and festival holidays observed by the institution.
SVPP observes all government-notified public holidays alongside festival holidays and academic breaks scheduled in the academic calendar. The 2022 holiday list covered 24 occasions spanning national holidays, state festivals and religious observances across the calendar year.
Holidays observed in 2022 included New Year Day (1 Jan), Bhogi (14 Jan), Sankranthi (15 Jan), Kanuma (16 Jan), Republic Day (26 Jan), Maha Sivaratri (4 Mar), Ugadi (2 Apr), Babu Jagjivan Ram Jayanthi (5 Apr), Sri Rama Navami / Ambedkar Jayanthi (14 Apr), Good Friday (19 Apr), Ramzan (5 Jun), Bakrid (12 Aug), Independence Day (15 Aug), Sri Krishna Ashtami (23 Aug), Vinayaka Chavithi (2 Sep), Moharam (10 Sep), Gandhi Jayanthi (2 Oct), Durgashtami (6 Oct), Maharnavami (7 Oct), Vijayadasami (8 Oct), Naraka Chaturdashi (26 Oct), Deepavali (27 Oct), Eid Miladun Nabi (10 Nov) and Christmas (25 Dec).
The detailed, dated holiday list for the current academic year is published by the office and circulated to all students and staff at the start of the year.
