Research & Development Cell

Cultivating enquiry, publications and innovation — SVPP's R&D Cell facilitates sponsored research, patents and industry collaborations across all departments.

SVPP emphasises innovation and technological development through its R&D activities. The institute undertakes and supports scholarly and academic research in diverse areas of science and technology, maintaining a broad and varied portfolio of research interests conducted within its academic programmes under all departments. Seven departments — B.Tech (ECE, CSE, EEE, Civil and Mechanical) and P.G. (MBA and MCA) — contribute to this initiative, enabling the institution to contribute meaningfully to national development.

The Research and Development Cell is the wing that facilitates, channelises and regulates all academic and sponsored research projects in accordance with institute rules. The institute conducts projects and seeks funding and partners for collaborative research among other academic institutions, universities, government bodies, industries and research organisations in India and abroad.

Whether in a classroom, laboratory, workshop or studio, SVPP's research programmes are known for their commitment to inquiry, innovation, community service and creativity. The Cell intends to broaden opportunities for students and professionals to develop core subject knowledge complemented by research interventions, thereby helping students make a mark in the global arena.

The Cell's activities include encouraging faculty to pursue research and submit funding proposals in their areas of interest; organising events on the latest research areas, funding proposals and patents; identifying potential industries and experts from R&D labs who can provide guidance to faculty; motivating departments to form MoUs with industries; and creating awareness about standard journals to foster high-quality technical publications.
