Who can apply to SVPP?
SVPP welcomes applications from students who meet the entrance and academic eligibility norms set by Andhra Pradesh state authorities and the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). All admissions are merit-based and conducted through government-regulated counselling or management-quota procedures as applicable.
B.Tech (Undergraduate Engineering)
The minimum qualification for admission into the first year of the B.Tech course is a pass in the Intermediate (10+2) conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education, Govt. of Andhra Pradesh or any other examination recognised as equivalent thereto with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as optional subjects. Candidates must have secured not less than 50% of marks in the prescribed group subjects (40% in the case of SC/ST candidates). Admissions are made through web counselling based on the EAPCET rank. Lateral entry to the second year is available for diploma holders via ECET (FDH) as supernumerary seats (20% of sanctioned intake).
Students seeking lateral entry to the second year of B.Tech (via AP ECET) must hold a three-year diploma in the relevant engineering discipline from a recognised institution.
M.Tech (Postgraduate Engineering)
The minimum qualification for admission to the first year of the M.Tech course is a pass in B.Tech / B.E. conducted by any University or any other examination recognised as equivalent. Admissions are made through web counselling based on GATE / PGECET rank and the rules of reservations.
SVPP offers M.Tech specialisations in Embedded Systems, Computer Science & Engineering, and Electrical Power Systems. GATE-qualified candidates are eligible for the GATE stipend as per government norms.
MBA (Master of Business Administration)
The minimum qualification for admission to the first year of the MBA course is a pass in any Degree (B.Sc. / B.Com. / BCA or equivalent) conducted by any University. Admissions are made through web counselling based on the ICET rank.
No prior work experience is required for MBA admission. The programme is conducted over two years and is affiliated to JNTUA.
MCA (Master of Computer Applications)
The minimum qualification for admission to the first year of the MCA course is a pass in any Degree (B.Sc. / B.Com. / BCA or equivalent) conducted by any University. Admissions are made through web counselling based on the ICET rank.
Candidates who did not study Mathematics at graduation level but studied it at the 10+2 (Intermediate) stage are eligible, subject to the AP ICET eligibility norms.
Diploma — II Shift (Polytechnic)
Candidates seeking admission to the Polytechnic Diploma Programme (II Shift) should have passed the 10th class and must have secured not less than 50% of marks (45% for SC/ST candidates). Candidates can opt for SVPP (POLYCET Code: SVPP) after clearing POLYCET under convener quota, or apply for spot admissions without POLYCET.
The Diploma programmes are offered as an evening polytechnic (Second Shift) and are governed by the State Board of Technical Education & Training (SBTET), Andhra Pradesh. Admission is through the SBTET counselling process.
